The Derwent Suite

The Derwent Suite provides high quality care in a warm, friendly and homely atmosphere. All accommodation takes the form of single rooms, most of which are en-suite.

Each room is attractively furnished and includes a nurse call system and a TV point. Further facilities include a passenger lift offering easy access to first floor bedrooms and additional toilets and bathrooms located throughout the building. Many have accessibility aids to assist those with limited mobility.

The standard of the cuisine is excellent and includes options for residents who require vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, diabetic and other specialised diets. Members of the catering team will visit regularly to discuss residents’ individual dietary needs.

In addition, qualified nursing staff are on duty at all times. These individuals are carefully selected and highly trained, and are therefore able to provide the highest levels of sensitive, individualised and dignified care. Our foremost goal is to uphold the highest possible standards of care and respect.

Clergy from most religious denominations visit frequently and there are regular services and opportunities for worship. The Derwent Suite is also home to our hairdressing salon, and chiropody & physiotherapy services are available to those who need them.
